William L. Blackburn Jr. “Bill”, age 77, passed away after a very brief illness on Sunday October 6, 2024, at Hospice of Cincinnati in the Christ Hospital surrounded by his loving wife of 16 years and family. He was the beloved husband of Patricia “Patti” (Rusk), Sons Christopher (Michelle), Michael and daughter Jill Blackburn, bonus dad to Aron (Karen), Christopher (Hillary) and Jeff (Melissa) Fehr. Devoted grandfather of 10 to Todd, Zachery, Jenny, Emma and Addison Blackburn, Savannah Ryan, Jackson, Jacob, Ellie and Trevor Fehr.Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Roberta (Ross), both sisters Rochelle (Don) Brock and Judith (Charlie) Ray. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, as well as many great friends and family and his wonderful neighbors who he loved. Bill and Patti enjoyed their retirement traveling to Las Vegas as well as Jamacia, Bahamas, Punta Cana, Gatlinburg and numerous trips to spend time with the kids and grandkids in Florida. Bill was diagnosed with End Stage Kidney Failure 2 ½ years ago after a bad bout from Covid in 2020. They chose to do dialysis 4 times a day, but they never let it stop them from enjoying life. He thought the world of his nephrologist Dr. Samaha and the staff at the White Oak DaVita Center who he saw twice a month. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday October 16, from 5:00-7:00pm at Radel Funeral Home 650 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45233. Funeral Service will be Thursday October 17 at 11:00am followed by a gravesite burial at the new St. Joseph Cemetery on Foley Rd.
