Virginia Bledsoe

Virginia Ayers Bledsoe was born to Mose and Mary Florence Ayers on February 26, 1932 in Lee County, Virginia. She passed away peacefully surrounded by love on October 20, 2021.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her step mother Rettie Ayers, her husband Samuel Hoover Bledsoe and her loving son Larry Michael Bledsoe. Also preceding her were her brothers Curtis, John and Charles and her sisters Mattie Cleo, Pauline and Loretta and her nephew Don Ayers.

Virginia was blessed to have a large family. She was a loving mother to Sam K (Karen) Bledsoe, Sandra (Don) Milinkovich, Karen (Steve) Raitt, Penny (Randy) Sowders and Patsy (Dan) Adams. Virginia had 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her half-sister Barbara Joan Martin.

Virginia was a long-term employee and retired from Bethesda Oak Hospital. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Most important is that she was a devoted mother and her precious memory will be cherished forever.

Visitation for Virginia will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 11:00 – 1:00. Services will follow at 1:00 at:
