Vera N. Freese

Vera was born December 25, 1933, in Cincinnati. She passed peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Bayley, Cincinnati, Ohio, at age 90.Vera was the beloved wife of Edward C. Freese who predeceased her in 2019. Vera was the loving mother of Deborah Stamm, Jeanette (Mike) Dickhaus, and Charles Freese (Cindy Lill). Vera was the devoted “Nan” of five grandchildren - Laura Stamm, Adam Stamm, Jessica Lahey (Nathan), Sarah Wiesner (Matt Miller), and Bradley Freese. Vera also doted on her seven great-grandchildren – Landon and Marley Blum; Ellie, Eli and Elaina Stamm; and Madalyn and Lincoln Lahey. Vera is also survived by her brother-in-law, Matth Toebben and 8 nieces and nephews. Vera was the daughter of Adam and Pearl (nee Hill) Huber and grew up in Delhi. Her sister, Laverne Toebben, predeceased her in February, 2011. 

The funeral will be held on September 4, 2024 in the Enrichment Center at Bayley, 990 Bayley Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45233. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. with Mass at 10:30. Burial will follow at St. John’s Westminster Union Church, 1085 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH .
