Timothy H. Santel

Timothy Santel, age 77, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Cincinnati, OH. Born on September 2, 1947, Tim graduated from Elder High School in 1966 and furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati, class of 1968. He proudly served in the United States Army for four years, dedicating his time to the service of his country.

Professionally, Tim was a respected figure in the insurance industry. Starting his career at Traveler's Insurance, he later opened his own agency, Santel & Associates, which thrived under his leadership. Tim's professional life was characterized by the same loyalty and commitment he showed in his personal relationships.

Tim was a beloved figure in his community, known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit. He was a loving and proud father and grandfather, and a friend to many. His loyalty was especially evident in his long-standing friendships with his buddies at Linnie's Pub, where he was a fixture at the Monday night "book club." Tim's hobbies included boating and fishing, particularly in Siesta Key, as well as golfing, traveling, and cheering on Elder High School and University of Cincinnati football teams. His passion for cars and Fox News were also well known among his friends and family.

He is survived by his ex-wife Judy Santel-King; children, Tim Santel (Danielle Sewell), Kristen Santel (Bryan Aldrich), and Susie Richmond (Corey Ruehlman); grandchildren, Trevor Santel (Natalie Santel), Denver Santel, Alexander Santel, Saria Sewell, Mika Santel, Reese Richmond, Rylie Richmond, Rosalie Richmond, Jackson Ruehlman; great-grandchild, Luna Santel; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jean Santel (McAvoy), and his sister, Barb Santel (Arnold).

Tim lived a life full of laughter and joy, bringing light and love to everyone he knew. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at Linnie's Pub on Monday September 16th at 4pm
