A Cincinnati native, he was born on November 15, 1949, to the late Edward and Alice Schulte. Tom's life was marked not only by his personal achievements but also by the deep connections he fostered with his family and friends.
A proud graduate of Cincinnati Technical College, Tom was the first in his family to attend college. He enjoyed a distinguished career at Procter and Gamble, where his innovative spirit earned him numerous patents. His passion for knowledge and his commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his professional life.
Tom served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War as a member of the Military Police, achieving the distinction of Expert Rifle Medal. His military service reflected his dedication to his country and showcased his strong sense of duty.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom had a wide array of interests. He had a profound love for landscape architecture and was particularly inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. An avid historian, he held a special fondness for the Civil War period, and he was often found immersed in books that expanded his knowledge on various subjects. Tom's appreciation for the beauty of nature was evident in his admiration for birds of prey, as well as his fascination with planes\jets.

He was a proud father to Kelly (Mindy) and Adam (Jennifer) and cherished his role as a grandfather, affectionately known as "Poppy." His grandchildren—Elyse, Kaden, Elliet, Kennedy, and Emree—brought much joy to his life, and he embraced the role of great-grandfather to Violet, River, and Maverick with immense pride.
In addition to his many accomplishments, Tom’s legacy will live on through his loving family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Scott, whose memory he held dear.
