Thomas M. Phelan

Thomas Michael Phelan, Jr., loving brother, uncle, cousin, passed on March 5, 2023. Tom was born on February 18, 1964 to Thomas Michael Phelan, Sr. and Grace Joann Orifici Phelan in the Bronx, New York. In 1971 his family moved to Greenhills, Ohio where he attended Greenhills High School Class of 1983, the University of Cincinnati and moved on to Southern State Community College earning a degree in Practical Nursing in 2007.

Tom’s greatest passions were his jeep Rubicon, nursing and music. A self-taught guitarist since high school, Tom wrote music, preformed with rock bands, and entertained his family with a singing text of “Happy Birthday.” Tom sincerely loved his nephew and nieces. They always looked forward to his teasing and light hearted spirit. Tom enjoyed his grand nieces and nephews who equally loved his antics.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He left behind his two sisters, Kathleen Dugan and Patricia Tenoever with his brothers-in-law, Bruce Dugan and George Tenoever; his nephew and two nieces and their spouses and children and his many friends, fellow musicians and co-workers at Delhi Post Acute Rehab.

A memorial service will be held at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Cincinnati on March 11, 2023 from 1 to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Society of St Vincent DePaul, Salvation Army, Brain Injury Association of Ohio or to the charity of your choice.
