Ruth M. Meyer

Meyer, Ruth (Susie), passed away January 25, 2023. Ruth was born June 21,1934 to parents George and Jeanette (Hayback) Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jim(Dorothy), Paul (Dot), Donald (JoAnn) and sister Rosemary (Roger) Gramann. She is survived by a brother Richard (Jackie) and several generations of nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a graduate of Mother of Mercy High School. After graduation she joined the order of the Sisters of Charity. She obtained both undergraduate and graduate degrees. After several years as a Sister, she decided she could better serve her faith and nurture her spirit in the lay community. She taught elementary school for several years to include sixth grade at St. Aloysius Gonzaga in Bridgetown.

After teaching, Ruth pursued a career in banking as a secretary and then executive assistant. She worked at Firstar ( now Star Bank) and retired from Huntington Bank after many years.

Ruth was a member of St. Aloysius parish, an Associate of the Sisters of Charity and volunteered for multiple charitable organizations.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 17, 2023 at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church. If desired, memorials may be made to Bayley Place 990 Bayley Place Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238
