Ruth Marion (nee Wittrock) Hellmann

Ruth was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth Wittrock, sister Nancy Graef, husband Leonard, son Tom and grandson Trevor. She is survived by her sister Joyce Graeter, children Jeffrey (Debbie), Jill, late Tom (Mary), Tim (Kim) and Brian (Sarah). She was a devoted grandmother to the late Trevor, Randy, Natalie, Lena, Carly, Hanna, Theo and Sydney. She was a proud great grandmother to Luna. Devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. 

 Ruth loved people. Many of her interests revolved around her family, friends and neighbors. When her children were young, she was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader as well as a track coach. Ruth enjoyed baking, bowling, playing cards, watching Hallmark movies and cheering on the Cubs, Reds and Bengals. Ruth loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays. She particularly treasured the magic of Christmas. 

 Ruth was a woman of great faith. She was an active parishioner at St. Antonius for over sixty years. Ruth worked at Xavier University for twenty-eight years. She was admired by the faculty, staff and students. 

 Ruth will be remembered for her loving kindness she so generously extended to all those she encountered. She will be remembered for her faith and her commitment to her family, neighbors and friends. Ruth’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched. 

 Memorials can be made to Art for All People, a ministry founded by Ruth’s daughter-in-law Sarah Hellmann, (www.artforallpeople.org ;1759 Churchwood Cincinnati, OH 45238) or to a charity of your choice. 

 Visitation will be held on Friday September 27th at St. Antoninus Church,1500 Linneman Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238 from 9:30am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am
