Ronald Michael Bacon Sr. (62) of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 13th 2020. He was surrounded by the love of his wife and 4 surviving children as he passed away in the comfort of his son Adam’s home.
Ron was born on July 4th 1958, to Joan (Rolfes) Bacon and the late Donald Bacon Sr. He graduated from Elder High School in 1977 and married Kathleen (Hesse) Bacon just a year later. They were blessed with 42 years of marriage together. Ron worked along side of his brother, John Bacon, for 19 years at Bacon Roofing. He later joined Don Bacon Appliance Service, where he worked for the last 10 years.
Ron devoted his entire life to God and his family. He loved kids and being a dad. He had 4 kids by the age of 25; Ronald (Danielle) Bacon Jr., Jennifer (Eric) Ilse, the late Joseph Bacon and Kristie (Brian) Bain. After 5 years he begged Kathy for a 5th child because he wanted “just one more”! She agreed and Adam Bacon was born.
Ron enjoyed going on family vacations and always looked forward to his anniversary trip with Kathy to the mountains every fall. His hobbies included art and painting, watching the Bengals, and keeping up on the latest news.
Ron was loving and kind to everyone. He’d never met a stranger. If he saw you had a need, he would do whatever he could to help. Many times he stopped to offer help to someone on the side of the highway, he’d help push a stalled car out of the road, or he’d lend his jumper cables to someone with their hood up in the parking lot. He could never see something and leave it up to someone else to help.
His memory and spirit will live on through his children and his 7 grandchildren (Dylan, Austin, Landon, Charlotte, Sawyer, Jackson and Harper). He is survived by his mother Joan (Rolfes) Bacon and his 5 siblings: John (Christy) Bacon, Tom (Shari) Bacon, Teresa (Rick) Beare, Anne Young, and Michael (Tara) Bacon and many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his father Donald Bacon Sr., his brother Donald Bacon Jr., his father in-law Clifford Hesse, his brothers in-law Daniel Young and James Nease, as well as his son Joseph Bacon.
Funeral services have been arranged for Saturday, November 21st at Radel Funeral Home on Neeb Rd in Delhi. The viewing will be open to the public from 9-11 am. The funeral service will start promptly at 11, with the burial immediately following at St. Joseph (NEW) Cemetery.
