Richard A. Bonett

Richard A. Bonett, lovingly known as Rick, was born on March 28, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He peacefully passed away on July 4, 2023, in Liberty Township, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother Genevieve E. Doyle and his father Leonard J. Bonett

Rick spent his formative years in the close-knit community of Mt. Adams in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was here that he developed a strong sense of community and a lifelong appreciation for his roots.

After graduating from Purcell High in 1972, Cincinnati, Ohio, Rick embarked on a 41 year career of dedicated service at General Electric as a jet engine assembler, retiring with pride and countless accomplishments.

Family was at the center of Rick's world. He was a devoted and adoring spouse to Karen (Miller) Bonett of 50+years. Together, they shared a deep and unwavering love that served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Rick was a loving father to his sons Richard A. Bonett, Jr. and Brian W. Bonett, and a caring father-in-law to Aysun Bonett. He found immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren Mikail, Taylan, and Kayra, who were the apple of his eye.

In his leisure time, Rick pursued various hobbies and interests. He was an avid bowler, sharing many memorable moments on the lanes with friends and family. Rick also had a passion for muscle cars, and he enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. One of his greatest joys came from working in his yard, where he demonstrated his meticulous nature and created a beautiful space for his loved ones to enjoy.

Rick's generous spirit and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of countless people. He was a member of the Middletown Moose Lodge, Tri-State Mopar Club and Miami Valley Mopar Club and actively contributed to his community. Above all, his greatest achievements were the lovingly raised sons and the legacy of being a devoted husband and father.

Rick will forever be remembered for his unwavering kindness, unmatched generosity, and his ability to make strangers feel like lifelong friends. He leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives he touched.

A visitation to honor Rick's memory will take place on July 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233. A memorial service and burial will be held on July 18, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM at Radel Funeral Home and then proceeding to St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Price Hill for a grave side service.

Rick's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his surviving loved ones.
