With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Quinton Johnson, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Largo, Florida, who died at the young age of 41 on September 4, 2024 after a six-month battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. He went peacefully, holding the hands of his mother and father as he took his last breath.
Quinton fought so hard on his own terms, all the while caring so much about how his health would affect his loved ones. In his final week, he expressed gratefulness for the smallest of things to everyone that entered the hospital room. He thanked his parents for a blessed life. He repeatedly told his mother and father, his stepfather, and his sister that he loved them. One of the last things Quinton said to his family was to just breathe, In, Out. He was too weak to say it, but he told us by demonstrating with his hand, In, Out. Even then, in his pain and suffering, Quinton was telling his family to take care of themselves. Even through unspeakable pain, his peace and humility is one to aspire to.
Quinton is survived by his beloved father, Gary B. Johnson, his beloved mother and stepfather, Roxanne and Robert Moores, his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Lydia and Brandon Condit, his four nieces, Sophia, Charlotte, Madelynn and Delilah Condit, his cherished grandparents, Glenn and Blanche Stokes, and the late Brown and Carolyn Johnson. Quinton is also survived by three step-siblings, Crystal (Thomas) Haley, Robert (Anna) Moores, Jr., and Amanda Moores, and is survived by many loving aunts and uncles, many loving cousins, and his beloved friend, Gigi Trevino.
