Patricia A Newcomb

Patrica Ann Newcomb (Nee: Costello), 86, of Delhi, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Bayley Senior Care. She joins her parents, Ruth and John Costello, sister Mary Lou Costello, and youngest daughter, Barbie, who preceded her in heaven. 

Patricia, known by her loved ones as Mom, Grandma, Grammy Newcs, Pat, and Patsy, is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Newcomb, who eloped with her 68 years ago (a story her grandchildren never tired of hearing). 

 She was a talented artist, made the most delicious apple pie ever, and somehow never missed your birthday (no matter how old you were, where you lived, or how big the family grew). Pat was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to:

• Three surviving daughters: Vivian (Kevin) Ryan, Pamela (Paul) Basler, and Margie (Joe) Ventre
• 11 surviving grandchildren: Cindy (Chris) Farruggia, Frank (Leah) Farruggia, Jessica (Sean) Barry, Amy (Chad) Montgomery, Jonathan (Heather) Basler, Jody (Sean) Arrington, Michaela Rawsthorn, Bryan Stockelman, Lena (Joe) Faillace, Fr. Michael Ventre, and Mia Ventre 
• 24 great-grandchildren, too many to name, but whom she loved and cared for dearly

Pat is also survived by her much-adored sisters, Nancy Costello, Joan Costello, and Sandra “Bunny” (George) Goard, along with her Newcomb brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Her legacy will last for generations in the hearts of countless people who loved her. 

The celebration of life will take place on July 2, 2024, at Immaculata Church in Mount Adams. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is also welcome to continue the celebration at Crowley’s Pub immediately following mass.
