Mary Elizabeth Armsey (Nee: Conroy)

Mary Elizabeth Armsey (Nee: Conroy), 88, of Western Hills, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents, William James and Ethel (Bonfield) Conroy.

Mary was an exceptional student who graduated from Summit Country Day High School in Cincinnati, OH.  She graduated from nursing school at Good Samaritan School of Nursing Class of 1956. She began her career in nursing at Good Samaritan Hospital. Mary later joined Dr. Frederick Wolf at Queensgate Medical Center. Mary was the school nurse at St Antoninus School.  On May 9, 1959 she married Thomas Darnell Armsey. Together they raised three children and were wonderful parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. She was a devoted member of St Antoninus Church, as well as a volunteer at Bayley Place. Her home and family were always first in her heart. She was an avid golfer, loved to walk in nature, and loved her flowers and her pets.

Mary is survived by her three children, Ellen (Lauri) Armsey, Thomas II (Kelley), and Chris (Sarah); four grandchildren, Lauren Thompson, Erin Perkins, Katherine Armsey, and Madeline Armsey; three great grandchildren, Sophia, and twins Triton and Carondelet; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years, Thomas D Armsey, and brother, William Conroy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 10, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St Antoninus 1500 Linneman Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Visitation will be prior to the Mass from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St Joseph Old Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, all memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Blue Ash or The SPCA of Cincinnati
