Marian Angela Studt (nee Fortunato) passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on December 7, 2022, with her family by her side. Marian was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 16th 1929, to parents Michael and Catherine Fortunato, and welcomed home by her big sister Lillian. Growing up, Marian enjoyed horseback riding, and competitive roller skating, becoming the National Roller Figure Skating Champion in 1944 and 1945. She made life-long friends at Seffarino’s Rollerdrome. They maintained a bond for over 70 years, consisting of lunch, travel, and reminiscing about their times at the rink.
Marian and her husband Ross were married for 51 years, they raised six children, and once they were empty nesters, they took advantage of their freedom by traveling throughout the United States and abroad. Marian will be remembered for the love she had for her family, her life-long passion for gardening, her fondness for Fudgsicles, putting lemon pepper seasoning on everything, and sharing her life stories with those fortunate enough to find themselves in her presence.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents Michael and Catherine Fortunato, cherished sister Lillian Williams, devoted husband of 51 years, Ross, and their beloved son Rick. Marian leaves behind her children Sharon Lee (Gary) Keller, Brian (Sharon) Studt, Cheri Wolf, Lee Ann Price, Steve (Lori) Studt, her twelve grandchildren: Sean, Courtney, Megan (Tiger), Michael, Jason, Kyle, Chad (Abby), Lauren (Ty), Ryan (Dena) Andrea (Tucker), Christopher and Weston (Molly), and ten great-grandchildren and her puppy BFF Lupo. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Cincinnati for the compassionate care they provided to Marian and her family. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Marian’s name www.stjude.org
