Marguerite Roeder

Marguerite Roeder, known to those who loved her as Peg, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2023, at the age of 92 surrounded by family. She was born on April 21, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to J Richard and Marguerite (Frank)Linnemann. Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Jr, her brother Robert(Beverly) Linnemann, her father J Richard, and her mother Marguerite(Frank) Linnemann.


Peg was a loving wife to her late husband, Russell Jr and a proud and dedicated grandmother who found great joy in children. Peg will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature and her dedication to to her family, friends, and community.


Peg and her late husband Russell were founding members of St Simon the Apostle Parish, where she taught CCD for many years. Peg was also a member of the Delhi Garden Club where she shared her love of gardening. Her friendships were very important to her, some lasting from kindergarten until her passing.


Peg is survived by her daughters Nancy Roeder, Katherine (Tom) Schurig, and Regina Roeder and sons Russell(Sharon) Roeder lll and Mark(Kathleen)Roeder as well as her brother Richard(Carol)Linnemann. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather, Jonathan, Lauren, Russell lV, Eleanor, Anna, Lillian, Henry, Erica, Sophie, Bella, and Hank, and great grandchildren Hadley, Draco, Nimue, Persephone, Evelyn, Clifford, Conrad, Adaline, Vera and Liam.


Peg attended Our Lady of Victory primary school, Mt St Joseph Academy/Seton High School , and Mt St Joseph College where she studied art.


Peg loved painting, growing and arranging flowers, sewing, and many crafts. Peg’s creativity and talent were admired by all who knew her.


A mass will be held on May 4 at 11 am at St Simon the Apostle Parish, followed by a reception in Plagge Hall. She will be deeply missed.
