Joseph T Whitaker

On Sunday, February 13, 2022, Joseph T. (Joe) Whitaker passed away at the age of 86.

Joe was married to Carol (Keller) Whitaker for almost 63 years. Loving brother of the late Doris Ann (Tony) Serge, the late Jim (Lynne) Whitaker and dear brother of Jane (Bob) Snow. He was loving father to the late Julie (Bob) Haubrock, and the loving father of Jennifer (Mark) Hoerst, and John Whitaker. Beloved Grandpa of Tim (Stephanie), Danny, Stephen (Danielle) Haubrock; Bill (Melanie) and Joe Hoerst; Jessie Whitaker (Jonny Casey), Nick Whitaker and Emily Whitaker. Great Grandpa to Beau and Roman Casey, Julianna Haubrock and Mia Hoerst.

Joe grew up in the Hyde Park/Oakley area. He attended Purcell High School and enlisted into the Marines directly after graduating. Joe and Carol were married on April 4, 1959.

Joe loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with family. Joe loved watching Old Western shows and movies and was an avid reader of the same.

The most important thing in Joe's life was his family. He adored his wife Carol and would do anything for his children and was always there for them. Seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the highlight of his days. He was very proud of everyone and loved them very much.

Joe, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa will be dearly missed.
