Jon H. Sieve

Judge Jon H. Sieve passed away peacefully on January 19, 2023 after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (O’Leary ) Sieve, dear brother of Judge Sylvia Sieve Hendon (Bob), uncle of Melissa Hendon Deters (Scott Stieber) and Chip Hendon (Shawna). Great uncle of eight and great-great uncle of two. His extended family included many close friends.

Judge Sieve served two terms on the Hamilton County Court of Domestic Relations, one as Administrative Judge, after serving for three years as a Magistrate in that court. Prior to public service, he was President of Sieve Pontiac, a long-established Westside family business. He also engaged in the private practice of law.

Judge Sieve graduated from St Xavier High School, the University of Notre Dame and the University of Cincinnati College of Law

If desired, memorial contributions may be directed to the Judge Jon Sieve Memorial Fund at Best Point (formerly The Children’s Home) to benefit the families involved in supervised visitation programs, an initiative sponsored by him during his term on the Bench.

Visitation will be Friday, January 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd, Celebration Mass will be Saturday at 10:00am at Mater Dei Chapel, Mt St Joseph University, 5701 Delhi Road, Cincinnati.
