John P beloved brother and lifelong friend of the late William Thomas. Wonderful uncle of Laura(David) Pictor and Mark Thomas. Adored Great Uncle of Rose and Sammi. Grateful son of the late Peter and Helen Thomas. Special friend of the late George Pappashales and late Edward Sherman. Retired from General Electric Company. Proudly served his country while stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Proud supporter of Oak Hills High School Athletics with he and Mark attending several season games of football and basketball. Avid Reds baseball fan and season ticket holder. A very special thank you to Dr Michael Jennings and the entire Western Hills Retirement Village staff for their devotion to him these past years.
Uncle John was a big fan of sending flowers (thank you to Lutz Flowers) to those who showed him kindness. He was also a big believer in the importance of rubber bands, wearing a few on his wrist , “just in case.” He also proudly wrote letters for all kinds of issues that he believed could be improved. One of his most popular letters was to the Cincinnati Reds concessions about the nutrition of the hot dogs at the stadium. Most times he got a reply
Passed away Friday, November 25th at the age of 95. Visitation will be Thursday December 1st from 11am until 1pm held at the Radel funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. Graveside service will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery immediately following at 130pm.
