John M. Kindt

John Michael Kindt (Jack) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 4, 2023. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bernie, his children Mike (Lindsey), Patty (Joe), Anne (Jeff), Joe (Jill), Mary (Dave), Sarah (Craig) and his grandchildren Abbey, Sam, Johnathan, Julia, Anna, Elizabeth, Emma, Olivia, Riley, Clara, Lauren, Jacob, Landon, and Jackson.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Margie Hubbard, and cousin Jim Kindt, Bernie’s big and wonderful family, and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Katherine Kindt, his infant son Stephen and his brother Thomas.

Jack was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 27, 1938. He was a proud graduate of St. Xavier High School and greatly valued Catholic education. Jack was an enthusiastic Xavier University basketball fan. He enriched all our lives with his love of nature, traveling, birds, turtles, and ice-cold beer. Jack’s greatest passion was his family, and everyone was warmly welcomed at his table.

Jack was a jeweler by trade, retiring from a long career at I.B Goodman Jewelry Manufacturing. He and Bernie owned J.M. Kindt Jewelry in Del-Fair shopping center for 23 years.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will always be remembered for his generosity and courage. He was a hardworking man of integrity. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis Seraph on Monday, May 8th at 11 am.
