Janet A. Johnson

Janet A. Johnson, age 93, born to the late Alice and Harry Lonneman Sr. on April 1, 1931, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on December 2, 2024 in Cincinnati, OH. Janet was a kind and loving individual whose presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her faith in God was constant and unwavering, and she possessed a truly special connection with the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary. 

Janet was married to the late Joseph Johnson Sr.. Together, they raised six children, an accomplishment that she cherished throughout her life. Janet's loved ones were an essential part of her existence, and she delighted in the time spent with family. Her nurturing spirit shone brightly as she supported her children, Joseph (Victoria) Johnson Jr., Joan (Dave) Fisher, Jackie (John) Bise, Julie (Jeff) McAdams and daughter-in-law Kathy Johnson. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jill (Lee) Laine and son John Johnson.  She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for Janet. 

Throughout her life, Janet maintained strong connections with her siblings, Gail Morrissey, Richard (MaryAlyce) Lonneman, Patrick (Judith) Lonneman, and sisters-in-law Shirley Lonneman, Mary Kay Lonneman, and Connie Lonneman.   She is preceded in death by Lois (Larry) Frey, Nancy (Allen) Clark, Harry Lonneman Jr., James Lonneman, Michael Lonneman and her brother-in-law Rock Morrissey. She also cherished many memories with countless nieces and nephews.  

Janet enjoyed traveling with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that echoed her zest for life. As her health declined, Janet was visited daily by many loved ones, a testament to the love and respect she inspired. She never failed to share personal memories with each visitor, remembering even the smallest details. 

Her legacy of kindness, love, and familial devotion will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Janet A. Johnson will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.

Janet always wrote down notes, whether it was important information she needed to remember, things she wanted others to know, or simple thoughts and prayers.  Her family wanted to share a few.

-Keep good morals, even if you stand out from the rest of the crowd. 
-Make sure you always forgive and forget, and then forget what you forgave (her favorite!).

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 810 Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233. Reception to follow in Our Lady of Victory Convocation Center 12 - 3 pm. 

Donations can be made in Janet's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
