Saying goodbye to someone that we love and cherish is such a difficult task. We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2022, at the age of 80, Herb Bill went home to be with The Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Patricia A. Bill (Auberger); and his devoted children: Steve (Renee), Chris Gilkey (Joe Mischell), Mark (Linda), Mike (Mindy), Tim (Colleen). His loving grandchildren: Aaron (Emily) Bill, Nicholas Bill, Brandon Bill, Austin Gilkey, Kevin Bill, Brooke Bill, Katie Bill, Ally Gilkey, Elise Bill, Brittney Bill, Nathan Bill, Adam Bill, Leah Bill, Evan Bill, Anna Bill and Nora Bill. Also, by his siblings, in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert L. Bill, Sr. and Rita Bill (Mott), and his brother Larry Bill. Herb was cherished by all.

Dr. Bill was a civil engineer and spent 45 years teaching at the University of Cincinnati in the Construction Science Program. He retired at the age of 73 in 2015. Herb loved and enjoyed working hands-on with his students. He was not only a teacher, but a true mentor and friend.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Dominic church located at 4551 Delhi Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238 at 10:00am on Friday, June 10, 2022. A Visitation will occur at St. Dominic Church prior to the service at 9:00am. A Celebration of Life will be held following the service.
