Glenn Stewart Jr., 73, of Cincinnati, Ohio was called to his heavenly home early morning, Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was being cared for by his family and Viaquest Hospice Care for comfort in his home. Glenn was also known to many as Peige, which was a nickname his father had given him when he was just a young boy. Glenn (Peige) was born August 5, 1950 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Glenn Stewart Senior and Gladys Stewart (Penley). Glenn served 28 months in the United States Army where he was assigned to the 29th Infantry Division, ranked as SPC E4. While serving his country in the Vietnam War, Glenn earned and was awarded a total of ten medals and ribbons including, a Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge 1st Award, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge & Rifle Bar, Marksman Badge & Rifle Bar, and Marksman Badge & Machine Gun Bar.
Glenn leaves behind a wife, Judy Stewart (Parker) and five daughters and son-in-law’s, Glenda Quarels; Bryant (Stewart), Tonya Hibbs; Lonnie,Jr. (Stewart), Samantha Shaffer; Jeffery (Stewart), Cynthia Cook; Steve,Jr. (Stewart), and Ann Satzger; James,Jr. (Stewart). He was also the father of the dearly deceased Glenn Stewart III. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a girlfriend Diana Saddler, her three children, Louanne Shelton, Danette Saddler, Ted Ott, and many grandchildren. They shared many years together in Somerset, Kentucky where Glenn resided before he fell ill. Peige also leaves a brother, Leonard Stewart, three sisters, Mary Stewart, Sandy Barns (Stewart), and Deborah Stewart. He was also the brother of the dearly deceased Abigail Henson (Stewart) and Micheal Stewart. Lastly, Glenn leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, and several other loved ones. He has touched many hearts and changed the lives of many. Glenn has brought so much peace into this world, changed much sorrow into joy, and mostly, taught many people how to carry a smile, be brave, and keep strong even in the darkest of moments. That is what he was about, smiles, giving, and bravery, and that is what he should forever live in our hearts for!
Visitation will be at Radel Funeral and Cremation Services Thursday May 30,2024 3pm-5pm, service immediately following.
Loved ones are asked to wear tops in the colors of blue or red to honor Glenn’s love for his country if available.
