George H. Cook, beloved husband of 56 years to the late Jeanne (nee Rampleman) Cook. Loving father of the late Suzanne (David) Macalister, Nancy (Jerry) Riesz and Lynne (John) Hartinger. Will be greatly missed by grandchildren Melodie (John) Simmer and the late Lisa (David) Slater, Ryan, Adam (Rachel) and Michael Hartinger. Great grandfather of Josh and Justin Simmer, David Jr., Tyler and Alyssa Slater and Abigael (Christian) Bishop. Great-great grandfather of Lincoln Bishop. Beloved brother of the late Emmamae (Jerry) Beckman and Audrey (Richard) Goettke. Passed on Monday, November 9, 2020 in Cincinnati at 101 years of age.

George loved life and lived it to the fullest. He played football at Elder High School, played the trumpet and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. George was fun-loving, creative, kind, generous and a successful business owner, founding State Bearing Service in 1955. His favorite things in life were spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, dancing, traveling, going to the beach, fireworks, especially the booms at the end and partying with family and friends. George was an active member of St. Antoninus for more than 69 years, chairing the annual festival, parish picnics and founding girls’ softball teams among many other volunteer roles, an avid fan of the Bengals becoming a season ticket holder in their inaugural year of 1968. He was also a 44-year member of Western Hills Country Club where he created many memories and made many friends. George will be best remembered for the stories he would share about his life and the significant impact he made with his love and generosity on all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Monday November 16, 2020 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Antoninus Catholic Church, 1500 Linneman Rd. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
