Elizabeth A Haynes

Elizabeth Ann (Howard) Haynes, nee Dunigan, born January 7, 1940 in Lee County Kentucky passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 18, 2021. She was the daughter of Clifton and Martha Dunigan. Beloved wife of 36 years to Ron Haynes. Dear sister of Nina (late Sidney) Couch . Preceded in death by her other siblings; Ralph Dunigan, Douglas Dunigan, Clifton Dunigan Jr, Charles (Brownie) Dunigan, and Wilma Cornett. Dear mother of Timothy (Terri) Howard, Lisa (Andrew) Knapp, Shaun (Kristen) Howard as well as Dana Haynes, Holli (Rob) Smith, and Lee Haynes. God also blessed her with several loving nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly.



She is survived by grandchildren: Christopher (Krista) Howard, Summer (David) Kendrick, Braeden Knapp (Rebekah Santel), Graham Knapp, Eleanora Howard as well as Kevin Gabbard, Lauren Gabbard, Henry Haynes, Abbey Haynes. Great grandchildren: Trestan, Jameson and Hunter.



Elizabeth served her family as matriarch; never selfish, always loving and kind. These are the memories she leaves behind. She loved her children and her children's children. Her prime motivation in life was to watch them grow and prosper under her loving care. She was a long time resident of Covedale. Westsiders may have known her from her many years working for Marmer's Shoe Store. Family and friends dearly remember her smile, her laugh and her loving hugs. Her stories of family folklore will echo and resound in our hearts. She loved traveling and exploring her heritage. Her family was her world and she was the world to her family.

Visitation will take place at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. on Tuesday November 23rd from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The funeral service will held on Wednseday November 24th at 12:00 at the funeral home.
