Charles Hinton

Charles “Charlie” Sydney Hinton passed away on September 6th, 2024 at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of the late Daisy M Hinton. Devoted father of Douglas E Hinton and the late Linda M Hinton, loving grandfather of Douglas A Hinton (Rachel), Samantha M Voltz (Jayme), adoring great grandfather of Jaxon, Lylah (Hinton), and Lincoln, Clyde, Sydney (Voltz). Loved by many, including niece Anne Logston, former daughter in law Mary Hinton, many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Charles was born September 19, 1928 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He was a mechanic in the US Air Force during the Korean War. While in the Air Force, he married Daisy and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage. After the Korean War, Charles and Daisy moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked at the Sisters of Charity. Charles was the owner of Hinton Auction Services. He spent many years, enjoying being an auctioneer and real estate agent. Charles spent his free time tinkering in the garage, gardening, playing billiards, attending turkey shoots, and having friends and family over to enjoy his cooking. Anyone who knew Charles knew they could count on him for anything. He will be deeply missed by many.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 17th from 9:30am until 10:30am at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd. 45233. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Victory Church 810 Neeb Rd. 45233 at 11:00am
