Albert H. Sprang born December 20, 1927 in Cincinnati Ohio passed away peacefully April 8, 2023 at the age of 95. Preceded in death by his parents Irene (Eckert) & Albert C. Sprang . As well as his sisters Marcella (Bill) Manne, Rowena (Homer) Clark & Helen (Butch) Rohe & the love of his life whom he was married to since 1957, Rose Marie (Cavanaugh) Sprang. Loving father of Dianne (Steve) Doll, Nancy (John) Conlon, Sandy (Lou) Gerde. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, Brittany (Chris) Morman, Carly (Chris) Ziegelmeyer, Ryan (Rachael) Doll, Michael (Lauren) Gerde, Kyle Conlon, Lindsay (Brad) Haarmeyer, Luke Conlon. And 10 great grandchildren, Dax, Brock & Mae Morman, Prudence & Ernie Doll, Mitchell, Maverick, Lucy & Lyla Gerde, Wren Haarmeyer, sister in law Ruth Cavanaugh and many nieces, nephews, family & friends.
He attended Resurrection of our Lord, Holy Family then graduated from Elder High School.
He began his career in sales at the Pogue Company followed by a long career as a food broker at the Frank Glueck Company and rising to Vice President of sales until retiring in 1990. After a brief retirement he was recruited by Talawanda Water Company as Vice President of sales until he finally retired for good.
One of his passions was bowling and joining the American Bowling Association at the local level as a board member in 1969. Then advancing through the ranks as a Director, Officer and President of the local chapter of the American Bowling Congress and was inducted into the Ohio Bowling Hall of Fame in 2017.
The most important thing in his life was spending time with his family. Traveling with his wife and three girls was another passion. Trips to Mexico, Canada, Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Pikes Peak and Florida. Realizing the joy and lasting memories these trips held, Rose Marie and he decided on becoming Disney Vacation Club members in 1992. This would allow his girls the chance to create their own memories with each other and their families. Every trip brought countless joy to him and Rose Marie being able to share these precious moments.
Whether it was attending sporting events or school activities, Al would go to great lengths to attend for his kids or grandkids. Al was an avid fan and advocate for his entire family.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Radel Funeral Home 650 Neeb Rd Cincinnati Ohio 45233
Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday April 14, 2023 at St. Simon the Apostle 825 Pontius Rd Cincinnati Ohio 45233 at 11 am
