Robert “Bob” Finn, 84, died peacefully Monday after a long illness.
Bob was the beloved husband of Mary Catherine Finn (Kreimer), married 58-years. He is also
survived by his daughters Erin, and Patricia Thornton (Steven), sons Brian (Rebecca), and
Kevin (Leslie). He cherished his four grandsons; Jacob, Zachary, Andrew and Bode. Bob was the son of the late John and Virginia(Cahill) Finn. He is also survived by his brother Charles and sister Virginia (Hoffman).
Bob was a lifelong Cincinnati resident and a proud graduate of Elder High School.
Shortly after some college and job pursuits Bob joined his brother, Chuck, in purchasing the
family business FINN GRAPHICS, INC., founded by their father, John Finn in 1940. Finn
Graphics, Inc. is still printing specialty decals now under the ownership of his son Brian.
Growing up, the Finn house was the center of neighborhood activity with a pool, jungle gym,
and standing net up ready to play volleyball or badminton. Most summers Bob and Mary
packed up the kids, hooked up a camper and ventured across the country taking in
Washington DC, Algonquin Provincial Park, Colorado, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite
among the destinations.
He loved playing golf and softball, coaching his kids in baseball and soccer. He loved spending
time with his friends, 5’o’clock cocktails and telling jokes. Friends shared, “I loved his laugh!”
and his family expressed, “they could always find him in a crowded room because of the
volume of his voice, and he could always find something to laugh about.”
Bob’s laugh, love for his buddies, telling stories, “and so on and so forth”… he will be missed.
