John F. Ameling

      John Ameling of Cincinnati, Ohio, loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and

friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2023.

     John is survived by his devoted wife Sandy and his beloved children Meredith (Mike)

Milbourn and John Ameling. John is now reunited with his late daughter Amy Bundschuh. John

was the adored grandpa (Papa) of Grady, Gracie, and Casey Fultz, and Annie, MacKenzie, and

Max Milbourn. He will always be remembered and admired by his sister Lorelei (Bill) Zenk, and

sisters-in-law Becky (Dave) Larkins, Nancy Gonnella, Sue (Tom) Lowe and Peggy (Keith)

Finch. He is reunited with his late brother-in-law Jack (Diane) Witt. John is also survived by

many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

    John was born on September 30, 1945. He attended St. Monica and St. Cecilia grade

schools, Purcell High School, along with the University of Cincinnati.

   John’s entire life was dedicated to his family. He was the anchor for all. He protected and

guided his family with his kind and gentle soul. John was a dear friend to many and did not know

a stranger. He will always be remembered for his loyalty, generosity and his kind heart. John

always put others first. He was a humble man filled with steadfast faith, living his entire life

leading by strong example.

    John represented his country in the United States Army, serving in Lebanon. After

serving, he began his career at Procter & Gamble. During John’s tenure at P&G, he held various

positions in Research and Development. His later years were spent in Regulatory Affairs, retiring

after 34 years.

    John will live forever in our hearts.

The family will receive visitors on June 5, 2023 at Radel Funeral Home from 5-8 pm.
