Dorothy Lee Shelley

Dorothy Lee Shelley, (Dottie), passed away peacefully on Friday October 13, 2023, at the age of 88 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Delbert & Eva Hensley, sister Lois Brown, brother Raymond Hensley, husband William Shelley, and daughter Wilma Shelley Ward. She is survived by her son William Shelley, (Bill), daughter Donna Wombles, sisters Billie Walters and Jean Click, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Originally born in Oneida, Kentucky Dottie lived most of her days in the city of Cincinnati where she owned and operated Rosie’s Grocery in OTR, providing help to many through difficult times in their lives. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and the generations behind them. Anyone who knows them knows that she was a star in their eyes, and that’s all that ever mattered to her. She was the cornerstone of the family providing a firm foundation for their love to be built upon. She loved so many, and so many loved her! Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd Cincinnati, Ohio 45233. Visitation will begin at 11:00am, and service will follow at 1:00pm.
