Donna S Huber

Donna S. Huber, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Symphony of Chesterton in Chesterton, Indiana. She was born on December 22,1942 to the late Gerald H. And Evelyn A. (Herr) Jones in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a graduate of Mother of Mercy High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, Class of 1961. She was the wife of Lawrence R. Huber and was married for 56 years.

Donna worked full-time until she became a stay-at-home mom and then worked tirelessly to care for her family. She loved her family dearly and passed her love for Jesus Christ onto each of her children. She was compassionate and generous, always caring for others. When her children were older, she returned to work and was employed at American Red Cross until she retired in 2004 after 18 years of service.

Donna was an avid card player, a passion she shared with her mother. When she was a young mother, she played bridge regularly and enjoyed playing cards with her children. In her later years, she loved to teach her grandchildren card games. Everyone enjoyed playing cards with Mom and Grandma!

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Huber and her 4 children, Christina Fickel (Erich) of Chesterton, Indiana; Kim Schulthess (Jeff) of Mason, Ohio; Lori Mumme (Paul) of Maple Park, Illinois; and Jeff Huber (Candy) of West Union, Ohio. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and her sister, Jennifer Busam (Jack).

In Chesterton, Indiana on Saturday, December 11, 2021, the visitation will be held at 10:30 am with the funeral directly following at noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 East 1100N.

In Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, December 18, 2021, the visitation will be held 10-11 am at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233. There will be a burial service following at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45205. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 106 East 1100 N, Chesterton, Indiana 46304.
